promotes and sanctions mountain bike races and recreational bicycle
"fun" rides on New England. A nonprofit, the site has
an extensive event and race listing.

MaCKRO
is an organization dedicated to the promotion of water races, via
kayak and canoe, through out Maine and
New England. The site includes a message board,
results of past races and a full schedule of races, months in advance,
for all New England. New members are always welcome, dues
are but $10, and the group is active all year from its headquarters in
Corinth, Maine.
In November the New
England Handicapped Sports Association
held a celebration marking its 30th year as non-profit
organization run by and for physically disabled persons who
participate and compete in sports. Based at
Mount Sunapee Resort New Hampshire, the group has an emphasis on winter athletics but is active
year round with a wide range of sporting competitions and events.
They offer adaptive ski and snowboard lessons for people of all ages
and disabilities and have an extensive inventory of adaptive devices
to suit the individual needs of athletes.
Maine
Association of US Track and Field acts as the clearinghouse for
Track and Field information in the state. The site
highlights upcoming meets and events, the results of past competitions
and tips for coaching and training. They also offer an online
bookstore and the latest news from the national organization.
The Maine
State Golf Association works to promote amateur golf and they also
sponsor an important scholarship fund in the State. Open
to players of all abilities, they conduct more than 130 days of
tournament play in Maine. Offering handicapping services
and golf education programs they are also Maine’s official
representative to the United States Golf Association.
Among the things they do in Maine
is play tennis. The
Maine Tennis Association sponsors or promotes tennis activities throughout
the state for players of all skills and abilities. The site
offers a listing of upcoming events and tournaments and has
a good directory of tennis courts in the state.

The New England Ice Yacht Association
is the focal point for our region's hard water sailors. The
site includes past racing results, current conditions and "best
spots" for ice boating in New England, safety tips and a full schedule
of upcoming races and events. The association is headquartered
in Southboro, Massachusetts.
As they say, "Hard water sailors have the most fun."
The
New England Surfcaster
The title of this site, GSBL-Granite State Over 30 Baseball League
says it all. Including team info, standings and schedules anyone with an
interest in New Hampshire baseball should drop by to see the latest.
If you want to make a comment, there's also a bulletin board.

New
England Wiffle Association
started in 1999, (Gee, all the way back in the last century) and as the name
implies, the association is about playing Wiffle Ball (funny, we've never
heard of a fight breaking out at a Wiffle Ball game), having a good time and
putting any money they make to good causes in New England. Headquartered
in Boston, the site includes team and
player information, the playing season, playoff news, New England teams and how
to get involved in the Wiffle Ball experience.
The Vermont Ice
Storm, Vermont's first and only semi-pro football team was
the 2001 Champions for Inland Division of the New England Football League.
The site includes pictures of the team in action, a review of the
past season and a complete line up of upcoming summer and early fall
football season.
The Nashua Predators
is semi-pro football team
that competes in the New England Football League. The site
includes photos of recent games, the team's schedule, a message board,
sound effects and a Cheerleader of the Day. Interesting.
Since 1961 the Eastern Football League
has been fielding semi-pro teams from Massachusetts, Maine and Rhode Island.
Starting with pre-season games in June, its 13 teams play into late
September before playoff competition begins. Interestingly, the league oldest,
active semi-pro football league in the United States. The site
includes team links, schedules, standing, recent results, photos and
directions to stadiums.
We play football
in New England-much better one hopes than the Red Sox play
baseball-and the New
England Football League is the place to find how who is
playing, when, where and what the standings are for the entire
region. The league is composed of 8 "AA" teams and
7 "A" from Massachusetts to Maine-there are links
to each team-and the site includes the latest game results and
highlights. The ten week regular season culminates in
playoff games in late October and the finals in
November. The site includes photos and a message board
that is interesting to read.
There is also another site called the
New England
Football League what was submitted to us. This is an un-official site, run and maintained by the players in the New England Football League and
is in no way affiliated with anyone on the board of directors of the
league. It too is an interesting place to learn what New
Englanders are doing between the goal posts.
Maine
Yacht Racing-the Official Ezine of Maine Competitive Sailing-is about news
from The Gulf of Maine Ocean Racing Association. The site
includes beautiful pictures of these fine boats in action, recent race results,
the standings and a complete schedule of for upcoming races and regattas.
The New England Small College Athletic Conference
has 11 member institutions; Amherst College, Bates
College, Bowdoin College, Colby College, Connecticut College, Hamilton
College, Middlebury College, Trinity College, Tufts University,
Wesleyan University and Williams College. The Conference was founded in
1971 because of a shared concern with the direction of collegiate
athletics and works to keep a support balance between academic and
athletic pursuits. The site offers match and game information
and when appropriate, the standings.
The Lowell,
Massachusetts Nor'easter Football team have won the New England Football League Championship for the past three years
and the national title twice in the last three years.
Playing from Cawley Stadium, they compete against teams from all over New
England. If interested and tallented, they are looking for
new players.
University
of Vermont Baseball Team-
a fan site with the latest on the season and lots of Vermont
Baseball history.
Amateur
Athletic Union-New England Baseball
provides
up-to-date news on the large number of teams and leagues that play
baseball in New England. And they play nearly all year.
The
Thunderbirds
play football in North Branford, CT. They have pasta dinners
and are 37 and 12 since 1996. Better stats than the Yankees.
The
New England Over-The-Hill Soccer League-information
on the league's 166 teams for players over 30. They play full
spring and fall seasons in three age brackets and teams can be found
all over New England. Games are played on Sunday and we suspect
many players can redefine the term, "over-the-hill."
