New England Wiffle Association started in 1999, (Gee, all the way back in the last century) and as the name implies, the association is about playing Wiffle Ball (funny, we've never heard of a fight breaking out at a Wiffle Ball game), having a good time and putting any money they make to good causes in New England.  Headquartered in Boston, the site includes team and player information, the playing season, playoff news, New England teams and how to get involved in the Wiffle Ball experience.

Since 1961 the Eastern Football League has been fielding semi-pro teams from Massachusetts, Maine and Rhode Island.  Starting with pre-season games in June, its 13 teams play into late September before playoff competition begins. Interestingly, the league oldest, active semi-pro football league in the United States.  The site includes team links, schedules, standing, recent results, photos and directions to stadiums.

We play football in New England-much better one hopes than the Red Sox play baseball-and the New England Football League is the place to find how who is playing, when, where and what the standings are for the entire region.  The league is composed of 8 "AA" teams and 7 "A"  from Massachusetts to Maine-there are links to each team-and the site includes the latest game results and highlights.  The ten week regular season culminates in playoff games in late October and the finals in November.   The site includes photos and a message board that is interesting to read.

There is also another site called the New England Football League what was submitted to us.  This is an un-official site, run and maintained by the players in the New England Football League and is in no way affiliated with anyone on the board of directors of the league.  It too is an interesting place to learn what New Englanders are doing between the goal posts.
