physical education instructor at the YMCA Training School in Springfield,
Mass., invented basketball. The rest, as they say, is

the wheel.

The Butterfly
Place in Westford,
is an indoor living environment which has
been designed for the propagation and development of butterflies. A 3,100 sq. ft. glass atrium towers to a height of
over 27 ft. and contains up to 500 butterflies representing as many as 50 different species.
There is a gift shop and urge visitors not to forget their
cameras.
Breezy Picnic Grounds
Waterslides in Douglas, Massachusetts offers family fun on the
Whitins Reservoir. Enjoy swimming in crystal-clear water, riding Alpine waterslides or try
out the new Tunnel Twister Slide. There is no limit for
rides and the grounds are fine for just relaxing.
Pirate’s Fun Park

Stonehenge and it is in North Salem,
New Hampshire. More accurately it is an
archaeological excavation that may represent a human
"settlement" in New England that could be more than 4,000
years old. Open all year, the settlement is reached by navigating
a trail and offers connections to stone age living, astronomy and
art. The site also has a latter day interest as it may have
been a station used by slaves in the underground railroad. See

Squam Lakes Natural Science
in Holderness, is a 200 acre nature center with
four self-guided trails, boat tours, a Nature Store and hands-on
exhibits. Walk in woods to see black bears, otters, fox and
more in trailside enclosures.
