Her work is visual and participatory and seeks to find a collective balance of chaos, order, and repetition. Curtis is further undaunted by the constraints of time. In fact, she uses the element of time to enhance her skills. Six of her installation exhibits will be held in Maine locations, every other year through 2010. Curtis' site includes photographs of recent work, her biography, and a forthright statement on the philosophy behind her imagery.

Political Statements

View from the Edge is a "grass roots" site in the same New England tradition that put tea in Boston Harbor a few centuries ago.   In this case, "little people" are taking on some of the powers that be in an effort to save their community from development.  This site was recommended to us and may inspire a new directory for political statements in the New England.  After all, the "shot heard round the world" was fired from these parts.

In order to enter the Biker Chuck site one must be 18 or older but we found nothing remotely objectionable there.  R. Charles Nutbrown is Biker Chuck, who is also President of The Greater Fall River AIDS Fund and the "bikes" noted in the site are the sturdy mountain bicycles that one peddles.  Among the prominent aspects to this site, was the AIDS FUND center in New Bedford that provided friends and clients with HIV/AIDS with clothing, appliances, furniture and the other necessities of life, free of charge.  With photographs of Nutbrown and friends the site includes AIDS and bike links and a guest book
