information at their sites. Many, not surprisingly, also offer official team garb that can also
be purchased on line.
The site of the Boston
Bruins has a kids section, a fine
history of the hockey team and its storied past in Boston, good
information on attending the games, a store, player statistics and a
complete season and post season schedule. Tickets can be
purchased online.
Mohegan
Wolves play arenafootball2 from early April to late July. Home
games are played at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville,
Connecticut
Boston
Celtics
fans can vote in a Celtics Poll, order tickets, review recent games
and of course, shop online for team memorabilia and gear. The
site does a fine job of presenting players in action on the court.
The
Boston Red Sox
are busy year round, either playing the game or getting ready to
defend another World Series Championship. (OK, we're
pushing it a little.)
We're
reasonably certain that we don't have to note that The
New England Patriots
won the Super Bowl. The site offers a fan poll, news and views of past and upcoming games,
online ticketing information and multimedia sections for video and
sound. There is an online store and for those not interested in
football, the cheerleaders have their own page with
photographs-collective and individual-with bios.

Minor League Baseball

Baseball returns to Lynn, Massachusetts. The
North Shore Spirit, a member of the independent
Northeast League, continues a baseball tradition that goes
back to the 1940s, at the renovated and historic New Fraser
Field in the city. The team's site includes profiles of
players and staff, the schedule that runs May to September,
club news and ticket information.
The National Association of
Professional Baseball Leagues, now known as Minor
League Baseball, was formed on September 5, 1901. In
2000, organization had 20 leagues with 246 teams. The

Spinners is a Class A affiliate of the Red Sox. The
site includes high lights of former player who made it to the show
(the major leagues), a team store and the team's schedule.

Vermont Expos
"Class A" short-season affiliate of the Montreal Expos. The season runs from mid-June until early September
